Keep in mind the census records were not intended for genealogical research and do not have accurate information in all fields. But they do have clues to finding other records, such as naturalization records, etc. The census taker may not have spoken Italian and with the immigrant's limited English and a heavy accent it was difficult to get the correct information.
The manifest show there were nine family members going to the same address 192 E. 20th, Chicago....if this was a multiple family dwelling I'm sure the census taker had their hands full trying to separate the families.
My mother and her sister immigrated as toddlers with their mother in 1913. Yet on the 1930 census my aunt replied she was born in Illinois!
