Ernest Thormahlen was my grandfather; Margaret "May" Thormahlen was my grandmother. They lived as a family in Dinuba, Napa, San Francisco, and Redwood City--all in California. They had three sons, Ernest, William (my father) and Thomas. Thomas is still living--in Redding, CA--also has a home in Little River, CA. Earnest died at age 72 (approx.) and May lived to be 87. Ernest was an accomplished amateur oil painter--portraits and landscapes. He had a business on the Napa River--a saddle shop/leather upholstery. Later they owned apartment houses in San Francisco. They retired and traveled to Europe by steamer and camped in Mexico. Grandma May was a whiz at cooking, sewing, and gardening. There are six living grand children, eight great-grand children--and five great-great grandchildren (plus another "in the oven". No one from this immediate family ever lived in Texas! No offence.....
