Surnames: Quereau, Quantein, Quantin
I was wondering if anyone knows if these surnames are Huguenot? They came to America and settled in New Rochelle, New York. Josue Quereau married Judith Quantin, daughter of Isaac Quantin (also spelled Quantein) and Francoise. Josue and Judith were born abt. 1700, since their son, Joshua, was born in 1720/1. Isaac was listed in town records of New Rochelle in the early 1660s.

Any info on where they came from or who their parents are would be appreciated. Thanks, Kathy
