Surnames: Demaray,Demarest
I learn that the Demaray's spelled Demarest back then were from France, they were of the Huguenots faith. During the 1590's a religious war broke out and a lot of the Huguenots were being killed so the Demaray's escaped France for their religious beliefs.
They had gone to Netherland, Germany before going to Untied States.
Are there still any Demarest in France? Where else did they go to?
