Yes, that is the family. Barbara was my mother. Other sources have told me that they married in 1901, so were not together on the 1900 census. I have not found him on the 1900 census. I do have 1900, and 1880 , census data for his wife Barbara Whalen.
All my searches on ancestry.com for both Boston and NY passenger lists have produced nothing!

Recently I invested in a few hours research with the family history library. ( genealogylookup.com) Waiting to see if they come up with anything.
