You might see if there's a FB page for the town of Sassano, Salerno- you never know.. you may be able to connect with people who's ancestors were from there..

The true way of spelling Capperino is a CAPORRINO

I'm almost afraid to ask about the rest of the story...

Here's Thomas and Josephine's parents.. brother..

Maria's surname was BIANCAMANO

The son who immigrated to the USA in 1920 was Pasquale.

The sister that Maria Biancamano left behind in Italy was Arcangela

According to the 1920 passenger list.. they would be heading to Chicago to join husband/father Antonio CAPORRINO

They last resided in a town called Sassano, Italy

On the passenger list, same line as Pasquale's - there are special numbers and dates written.. specifically "11-229973" and 3/12/40-505 NO c/a. So it appears that a certificate of arrival (c/a) was prepared.. Maybe he Naturalized around 1940. Possible Naturalization document "11-229973" ...

POSSIBLE Passenger List for Antonio CAPORRINO (mention's wife Maria in Italy.. off to Illinios to join cousin BIANCAMANO... )

Maria Biancamano and son Pasquale CAPORRINO's Passenger List

Maria Biancamano and son held for special inquiry - also appears that son Pasquale was hospitalized..

1930 Census

Hope this helps some.. Look forward to your reply..
