My GG Grandfather was Charles Pyper (Piper) who was born in Nenagh, Tipperary Ireland in 1811. The info I have is that his father Charles was born around 1780. My GG married a Margaret Armstrong D 1843 in Tipperary, and had 2 sons - James 1839-1940 and William 1841 - 1919. Charles then married Elizabeth Ardel (Ardell)B May 1823 Borrisoleigh, Ireland D Mar 16,1883 Stoneleigh, ON, M 1844. One story we were told was that he was a protestant and she was a catholic and they had to leave Ireland because of this. I have no history on Elizabeth parents. Her brother later went into business with her stepson William in Alberta. I believe that the Pipers are Palatines but can't link my GG grandfather Charles back to anyone from Germany.
