Hello,
I am looking for my great grandfather Matthäus Waldbauer. He was born about 1875 and died about 1946 in Ostrów/Russia-Poland.
He went from Russia-Poland to the United States between 1906 and 1914; he returned to Russia-Poland before World War I. Unfortunately I cannot find him at a passenger list.
I have found a Mathias Waldbauer in Census 1910. Maybe it is my great grandfather but I am not sure?? Mathias could be another variation of the name Matthäus; other variations of his name could be Mateus or Matheus. There 1907 is the immigration year... I have begun to look through the passanger list from Hamburg and Bremen systematically but with no success.
Have you an good advice how I could find him?
Best wishes from Germany,
Antje
