I am not related but I found a Leo/Leonard HABAS with wife Augusta in the 1920, 1930 and 1940 census. If that's the correct person the census image says he immigrated in 1901. I can post the census sheets if you don't have them.

I took a look at the Ellis Island immigration records and found many alternate spellings for HABAS (HABASS, HABBASS, HABBAZ, etc.) Is it possible he changed or shortened the spelling of his surname?
