I too have relatives in the Ukraine and over the past year and a half I've been contacted by "researchers" who claim to live there...be careful...so many are a scam...they promise to visit the area...take pictures...speak with relatives and in most instances it's all a scam...you can tell (sometimes) by the IP address they use when contacting you. They usually request $100-$200 USD for their "assistance"...I would go to one of the LDS Family Heritage Center Libraries close to your area and seek assistance there...it's free and not associated with the church...or go to your MAIN library and contact the head librarian...she or he should be able to give you a connection to a local geneology group that will assist you or if your home location is in a large metro area...they will have a group working right at the library.
