Looking for assistance in locating the originating villages for the surname Stafiniak. Have researched on Lemko.org but results do not match family dictated history. Not to say that family could be wrong of course! This is my grandmother who had 6 brothers. I do not know the names, but I do hope that some did manage to immigrate from present day Poland, then Austria. They would have been born in the late 1880's 1890's- to eary 1900's definitly before WWI. Would have immigrated ???? Would have considered themselves Lemko, Ruthenian, or Rusyn
