I am looking for information about my paternal grandfather and grandmother, and maternal grandmother, all of whom emigrated from Odrzechowa, then Galicia in Austria-Hungary, now south-western Poland. This is a small town in the area of Sanok and Przemysl. A large number of people emigrated from there to the Buffalo NY area in the late 1890's and early 1900's.
I am trying to trace the families of my grandparents back through Odrzechowa. Does anyone have information about these surnames from that town? I am looking for relationships to Iwan Leszczyszyn (I have found at least 8 different spellings in US records), Katherine Wroble/Worobel (wife of Iwan, they were already married in Odrzechowa), and Katherine Timcik (Timchik, Timczyk, Temchik, Temczyk) who was married to my maternal grandfather, Onufreyj Rydzyk from Blichnarcka - they married in the US.
Iwan was the son of Iwan and Mary Leszczyzyn and emigrated with Katherine in 1898. He was born about 1873, she about 1875. I have no information about her parents. A number of Iwan's brothers also immigrated and lived with him in Buffalo for a time. I have not been able to trace them in the US. It looks to me that there are some number of other "Lestition" lines, in PA, NJ, MI, and Canada. I'm not sure if we are related.
Katherine Timcik emigrated in 1909. She was born in 1891. Her parents were Michael and Katherine, brother Michael, sisters Anna and Elsie. So far as I know, they did not immigrate.
Thanks for any information you can supply.
