Since the grandmother came over from Wales and I am assuming she is Naturalized her Petition for Naturalization or
Declaration for Naturalization would give you info as to even the town she was born in. So if you can get in touch with her for these papers or get a copy of them if a member of the family is holding her important papers for her you would be suprised at the info on them.
Suggestion- check the Ellis Island site for their arrival-enter the fathers name and if necessary try the mothers name alone or the grandmothers.
