Hi, I desperately need help tracing my family. I never met my father (Raul(Rudy)Martinez) from Texas. He was born in 1942 and moved to Az sometime later. He married my mom (Lydia) and they were married for a while. I don't know his parents names or where in Texas he lived. Is anyone out there from Az? Hi,

My mother's mom gave birth to many children, one of whom she gave away without naming him. He was born July 25, 1967 in San Diego County and then given away sometime after that. I was led to believe that he was not put up for any formal adoption, just given to a neighbor or friend of my grandmother's. Her name was Georgia Irene Himbury (married: Byers then Huffman). I have to find out where exactly she lived at the time, but it was definitely SD county. If anyone has any leads or ideas about this I would SO appreciate it. I don't know much about that side of the family and found this missing link during my research. My mother, grandmother are dead, and the listed father of the baby (Byers) was not the true dad, and is dead also. Pretty much stuck.

This may be the wrong board but about 5 years ago someone was trying to find me through an address I used to live in in 1956.
I suspect that it might have been an adopted relative who I did not know existed until very recently.

I ignored the original contact, which was through a solicitor, on the advice of my mother...The reason for that advice now being a lot clearer.
If anyine knows of a member who has been trying to find anyone who lived at 26 Mennen Stratta, Herentals, Belgium in 1956 could they please point them at this message.

Christina was born in 1945 in Ireland, but she went to Notre Dame Catholic School in Liverpool. She left the UK for LA (they think) in about 1969, not long after the adoption was finalised.

I was born 28Apr1952 and I have a sister born 26Jul1954; my sister and I were born in Morgantown, Monongalia Co, WV.

My parents were divorced and I have no idea why my father ended up in Missouri. My father died in Columbus, OH and I attended his funeral and, as far as I know, Opal was not in attendance.

In abt Jul 1961, one of my mother's sisters was living in Fresno, CA with her husband. My father and Opal came to visit them; it was their first time meeting Opal; the baby boy was less than 6 months old. They also had with them a small girl abt 3 years old but reportedly my father was not the little girl's father.

My brother, James Sanderson Johnson was born October 16, 1940. I don't remember too much of my brother but I know he moved to London, Ontario and joined the army. I really would like to know when he joined the army at Woolsley Barracks and which regiment he was in. While living in London, he married Ruth Shortridge and had a baby. The baby died. Know that Mack served time in Huntsville Prison, Texas, for car theft early 1920s then falls off the radar. Can't find any record of Mack's death or burial. I recently learned that my dad has a different biological father than I thought, and I am searching for more information on him.

My dad never knew his father and the only information my Grandma has is that his name was Paul Kapusta and he was a long-distance truck driver. They met and dated in Ohio and Pennsylvania in 1947 and had plans to marry when my Grandmother learned that Paul was married to another woman (name unknown).

Shortly after breaking up she discovered she was pregnant with my father, born Jan 2 1948, and he eventually took the last name of the man who raised him.

Paul would have been living in Ohio in the 40's, and would have been born around 1915 +/-. My dad's first name is Daniel and his middle name is Francis so I found it interesting that there is a "Paul Dan Kapusta" and a "Francis Kapusta (Katusta)" on Ancestry, both of which fall in the appropriate age range.

Any information you may have on Paul, his wife, or children, would be much appreciated.

Archdeacon Edward Botwood - who were his parents? Was he from Bridgnorth? When did he die?

One distant cousin on my family tree is Edward Botwood, (b.June 1828, Bridgnorth, Shropshire). I have a baptism & 2 Census records (1841 & 1851), which list him as resident in Bridgnorth during those years, working as a 'Clerk'.

He then disappears from future UK Census returns & I cannot locate a death record to explain it.

However, on the 1891 UK Census I came across the following:

Edward Botwood, (b.1829 Bridgnorth, Shropshire, Church of England Archdeacon of Newfoundland), together with his wife Isabel, (b.1845 Newfoundland) - both living in London.

Looking through the little historical snippets I can find online I gather that Archdeacon Botwood was an Anglican minister in Newfoundland from the 1860's onwards & the town of Ship Cove was renamed 'Botwood' in honour of his efforts during this time.

My Query: Is 'Archdeacon Edward Botwood' the same Edward Botwood I have on my tree? It seems very likely - as Botwood is not a common name & Bridgnorth is a small town.

Archdeacon Botwood's wife wrote a 'Last Will & Testament' in 1912 (she, Isabella Amelia Winter, eventually died in London in Jan 1916), and it indicated that her husband died before 1912. Another article suggests he died during 1901.

However, I cannot locate a Death Record or Obituary for Edward at all. Does anyone know when, how or where he died?

Any info you can offer would be appreciated.
