I'm looking for information on the parents of Valentin (Valentine) Zupancic (Supancic) born in 1877 in Austria or Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia and died in 1929 in Walsenburg, CO. He married Aloisia (Lucy) Grusovnik (1880 in Austria, Yugoslavia, or Czechoslovakia-1955 in Walsenburg, CO.) in about 1900 before immigrating to the US. The family including children Alois (Louis) and Maria (Mary) arrived in Galveston, TX on 24DEC1902 on the SS Chemnitz departing from Bremen, Germany. The relative they were joining was Carl Grusovnik, Lucy's brother. They settled in Walsenburg, Huerfano County, Colorado and had these children: Louis & Mary born in Europe, Valentine, Lucy, Rudolph, John, Stephen, Frank, & Helen.
In 14DEC1909, Lucy's mother Lucia Grusovnik immigrated to the US arriving in NY on the ship Finland. She is listed with the Supancic family in the 1910 Census in Huerfano Co., CO. Death records say that her husband was Jacob Grusovnik, who obviously died in Europe. Any information about this family would be appreciated. Would love to know who Valentine's parents were and any further information on the Grusovnik family would be great.
