Euskaldunak emen badira?
I am hoping that someone knows the whereabouts of an affluent Basque family who
lived outside the small town of Pueblo Nuevo, Guanajuato, MEXICO during
1950-1970, which is when the French men, C. Josú (José) Barreneche Echeverri and
his brother C. Emilio Barreneche Echeverri leased and operated the Hacienda
The persons of interest are C. Josú (José) Barreneche Echeverri and his brother
C. Emilio Barreneche Echeverri, said to be from the French Basque Country while
José's wife Maria Del Carmen Aldave from the Spain Basque Country.
And their four known daughters Marta Barreneche, Mirentxu "Mirenchu" Barreneche,
MariCarmen Barreneche and Teresa "Teresita" Barreneche.
In 1957 the married José Barreneche Echeverri and his Nanny employee of the
Hacienda, Francisca "Pachita" Pimentel de Rangel (b.1922) produced a child (the
same year his legitimate wife gave birth to Teresa Barreneche).
My mother was a baby who was swept under the rug by mr José Barreneche Echeverri
and his accomplices who falsified her birth certificate using his resources, and
disappeared from Huatzimitiro practically overnight.
Francisco Ramos (b.1927) is shown as the father and Bicente Jasso (b.1898) &
Elpidio Ramos (b.1917) as the witnesses to the birth.

Born in Los Angeles, California, I had the good fortune of being raised in
Pueblo Nuevo, Guanajuato, Mexico and learning my parents heritage from 1-8 years
old. I was raised by my loving parents, Martha and Ezequiel, in a small house
on the Town's main street Francisco I Madero, but spent most of my days just two
blocks away at my paternal Grandparents home on the same street. As life would
have it, my youngest sibling, Luis Angel, was born with a cataract and we
returned to Los Angeles, California in hopes the capable efforts of Children's
Hospital would help safe his eye. My humble parents worked very hard so their
children would never go hungry or homeless. I began working odd jobs at
thirteen to help my father with the living expenses as it was expected of me,
since my mother found it difficult to cope with the death of her Mother in 1985
and soon after her only Sister's death. My mother had a nervous breakdown when I
was thirteen and everything changed for us all. We tried to understand her, but
my own shame and pain from being molested by a middle school teacher sent me
into a dark loneliness. Before graduating High School I joined the US Navy to
study Journalism and escape the bulling from my younger brother at home, but I
was honorably discharged for being honest about my sexual preference just before
I left for 'Bootcamp'. In 1998 I moved to the Hollywood Hills and lived the so
called Dream. Regular brunch at The Four Seasons, the BMW, the pretentious
parties, all the material nonesense. I drank all the booze I could to numb the
pain UNTIL I was enlightened in 2008 and attended my first AA meeting and have
been sober since. I have forgiven all who have hurt or disappointed me,
Including my maternal Grandfather and his wife who walked away from an innocent
child, my sweet and loving mother.
