Hi have just established that i'm related to a William Wright b c1740 in NY (where??), who was a Loyalist and came to NB in 1783 and settled at Grand Bay in Westfield Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick.

Known son is Solomon Wright b 1784 and wife Susannah Hunt b abt 1743 Westchester County, NY

As I'm actually based in UK I can't get to any of the sources - so was wondering if anyone had any more info of William's family, arrival, or previously his service as a Loyalist in what I assume is Westchester County, NY - anyone have any more data on Susannah or her parents?

I'm aware that Susannah remarried a John Lawson after Williams death in 1785 - but can't find any records of that.

The only other siblings of Solomon that I have is a James Wright b 1771 who m. Elizabeth Purdy b. 1775 at North Castle, NY, died 1857: came to NB and first settled in Westfield Parish, Kings County: later moved to Canterbury Parish, York County and a Phebe b 1769 m John Buckhout
