You mention a list of loyalists that show where a person emigrated FROM.
I just recently realized my MARSTONs in NB were most likely MASTENs originally from NY, and that they ended up in New Brunswick in 1787 on the land grant you quoted here.
However, I think I am missing a (documentable) connection between the 1754 Jeremiah or 1755 Abraham Masten bapt in Ulster NY (prob the 1787 land grant recipients in Woodstock, NB) & my documented 1789 Jeremiah Masten/Marsten/Marston in the 1861 & 1871 Canterbury Parish, York, NB census.
Can you give me some hints as to how to go about this? I am very familiar with the NY Dutch church records, which is how I finally got the general connection for the two puzzle pieces of this line, but not at all familiar with researching in Canadian or Loyalist records, to make the actual connection...
I TRULY appreciate any help!!
