Hi Carl,
Thank you so much for your offer! I have two g-g-g-grandfathers and two g-g-g-g-grandfathers I'm tring to find information on.

James Baxter born July 21, 1816 Upper Canada (married to Lydia Sherk)
& his father,
James Baxter b.???
I believe they would have received land in Welland County area as the son, James Baxter, lived his whole life in Bertie Twp., Welland Co.

Alexander Urquhart b. 1768 Inverness, Scotland
& his son,
John R. Urquhart b.Sept.18, 1802 or 1808 Inverness(.married to Mary M. Faulkner b. Sept.29, 1802 or 1808 Scotland)
I belive Alexander died in Ancaster after 1861 as he was listed as being 93 yrs. in '61. And John R. died Jan. 31, 1882 in Ancaster. John R. Urquhart has the title "Capt." on his gravestone in Ancaster.

Sorry about not being sure of John R's year of birth, but it's listed as 1802 on his gravestone, but census' list it 1807, 1808 and 1809 in different census'........ugh......frustrating!

Thank you so much for any help you can offer and wish you guys up there some warmer weather!
