You're definitely on the right line. Joshua S. Odell b. Sep.1,1785 in Poughkeepsie NY married Cornelia Palen. In my documents I have Cornelius Odell being born Sep.4, 1815, Westminster TWP #2125. He was 1 of 11 children. I'm not sure what Odell book you're referring to. I have various pieces of information. If you want, email me at codell1@telus.net and I can send you what I have. I can't find a connection to Weldon. Maybe it comes from the other side of the family.
