Don't worry. Since my family (both sides) lived well within a 50 mile radius in Louisiana for at least 8 generations, and, before that, another 5-7 generations in Nova Scotia, they were ALL RELATED! My parents were 3rd cousins, my dad's parents were 1st cousins (!), And I'm related to my maternal grandfather SEVENTEEN WAYS! Additionally, I have located - so far - 74 Pierre's and 216 Marie's.
Isn't genealogy exciting?!
