Dear Myrtle, My g-g-grandfather was taken prisoner by the british in camden during the Revolutionary War, and put on prisoner ship and taken to Jamacia British Indies where he was made to join the british navy or be killed. he was there for 7 years before he was taken by ship to canada where he jumped ship and went to vermont. Is there british records that would show the status of the prisioners there. Jeanne Webb Any help would be appreciated. Thank You
