I know that in genealogy research you will find many variations of a name, but how do genealogists show an actual name change. Example: Martin
Guffey
becomes Martin
McGuffey
. Do I put the old name in parentheses like Martin (
Guffey
)
McGuffey
?
Thanks for your input.
