Surnames that are commonly used words

Surnames: Preachers, Utter
Hi,

I'm new to genealogy and have a question about doing searches.

I have the good fortune of my mother and father both having surnames that are also in use as common words. My mother's surname is Preachers and my father's is Utter. When doing searches on Ancestry.com, etc., I get inundated with results that contain matches to their common word usage (e.g., "... was a Baptist preacher").

I'd appreciate any suggestions for how I might be able to limit results to those that match as surnames only. I'm worried I'll get so tired of looking through all the common use matches that I'll miss results that actually matter!

Thanks!
