I've got as far back as I can with online records (gt gt gran born abt 1831, to parents born 1787 & 1796). Now I'd like to visit the area (Ottery St Mary, Devon, UK) to see whether I can find any more family members and details.

With a not-too-enthusiastic husband in tow, I need to plan my visit efficiently. Please can anyone advise me how to go about this?
Is it simply a search through the graveyard, or are there records to which I would have access? Do I need to contact someone connected to the Church? Or the Council? I really do not want to impose on anyone's time - would they mind me getting in touch?

I do hope I've chosen an appropriate thread on this Board. I love the title "Dear Myrtle"!
