Oooh, I like that answer. My brother and I were just discussing this issue. I put this question on another post today before I scrolled down to read this one. I must be a stickler and putting USA for something in 1660 just doesn't seem right. I have ancestors from Rhode Island, would that be called then "Rhode Island Colony?"
