Hello! I think you have to regard genealogy as a calling really. And not everyone in the family will have the curiosity tenacity attention for detail and high frustration tolerance it requires. It really is a labour of love. Best to share your work with those who are generally interested. In my family I have learnt that there are first cousins that don't know each other's married names. Needless to say they are not close so I knew from the get-go they would be of little help. Maybe when you present your work at family gatherings just include people's names-that's probably good enough for most folks. No need to add all your hard work to an audience that may not appreciate it! Rather like an opera star performing to an audience of two year olds! Know what I mean?!
