I would have to agree with the other two responses. I have only been doing genealogy/family history since 1999 and 95% online. My family helped very little in the beginning and even less each year. I try to send out emails asking for information and even sent out hard copies for Christmas in 2006.
Some day they will come around - if not, you have the satisfaction of family knowledge.
