Is it common practice to give people who are still alive a date of death, presumably so they can become visible to other researchers? I have just found a tree with dates of death for two members of the present Royal Family of Great Britain. Last time I checked Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Prince Phillip her consort were very much alive yet this tree lists Phillip as dying on 6 Feb 1952 (the date he became consort) and Elizabeth has no date of death but there is text where a date of death would be entered. Is entering false information standard practice in some family trees?
