Just read your post and though I have nothing to add I read it with not only compassion but with great "passion",for I share your hunger to "want to know". We are presently waiting for DNA test results to come back on my Dad. My greatest fear is that it will not show anything. Like you and your family, my Dad's people are dark, black hair, high cheek bones, pale eyes. We have always known by instinct that we have a hidden heritage. We want so much to know what we are and be able to aknowledge and embrace it. Dad is 82 years old and very passionate about this search. Thanks for your post. I wish you the best in your continuing search.
