If it were me, I'd first scan the pieces into my computer at the highest resolution possible, in color even if its black & white. You can use software to put the pieces together digitally.

Then I'd bring the pieces to a document restorer to put it together professionally. Yes, it will cost money but in my opinion, it would be worth the cost.
