This won't answer your question but is just another thing to factor in. There are records of people coming to Oregon by wagon train as late as 1914, well after railroads were established in Oregon, and I'd guess the same might be true in Idaho. Possibly the Idaho county involved has records of some kind. Also, sometimes pioneer reunion organizations kept attendance records that included a column for "how traveled here." Good luck!
