My GGGG-Grandfather was Isaac Boring. He resided in Caswell Co., N.C.
and was a private with the N.C. Caswell Co. troops. He was born 8 Mar.
1762 in N.C. died 18 May 1831 in Jackson Co., Ga. He married Phoebe
Browning b. 19 Sep. 1762 in N.C. and also died in Jackson Co., Ga. He
fought in the battle at Camden, S.C. His widow applied for a pension
but I don't think she ever received any of this. He was given land for
his services. Some sources for this information are:
McCall's Roster of Revolutionary Soldiers of Ga., p. 39; Knights
Roster of Revolutionary Soldiers of Ga. p. 345.

I am a member of the DAR and went in on his record. If there is
anything else you need for your website, please contact me at the e-mail
address above.

Thanks,

Ruby Brown
