Would like info on Darden, Bedford H. Private May 13, 1862, captured at Bermuda Hundred, Va a confederate deserter. Oct 17, 1864. Took oath of allegiance to US Gov'et. Oct 18, 1864. Released and went to Philadelphia, PA Nov 12, 1864. Admitted to USA General Hospital at Fortress Monroe, VA account of general debility. Nov 1 1864 discharged from said hospital Nov 23, 1864." (this from the Roster of Confederate Soldiers of GA 1861-1865 Vol. I.
I think this may be my great-grandfather, Bedford Henry Darden, married to Malissa Smith Darden, not sure of county, may have lived in Macon, GA, had two children: son, Bedford Henry (my grandfather) and daughter, Annie. Don't have family history on Darden/Smith. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks.
