The 16th did not participate at 1st Manassas. Their first taste of battle was in the Peninsula Campaign. They participated in all of the remaining major battles except 2nd Manassas. Here is a list of Battles:

They suffered their largest casualties at Crampton's Gap, Fort Sanders, and Guard Hill.
