A friend of mine is looking into their family tree and this shows up behind someone's name: "van Absin in Engelt". Looking at it from a Dutch perspective, it could be the person's last name (a lot of Dutch names start with 'van', but where do the words Absin and Engelt come from? Is there an old Dutch word Absin which could be a place in 'Engeland' (instead of Engelt)? Or do the words not mean anything? Thanks!
