Is ESSEY a Scottish surname?
Hi everyone
Im trying to find info on my Great Great Grandfather William Albert Essey. I have been searching a few of the Scottish websites and I don't see this surname appearing often if at all. Is this actually a Scottish surname?????
William ended up residing in Australia. I have one of his children's Australian birth certs and it states his birthplace as Scotland. William was married in 1894, I have no clue when he actually came to Australia.
I have had no luck finding any info on him prior to his arrival in Australia, can anyone offer any help please...............
