I am trying to find information about my family. I have one Louis Wraskoff living in Soho London in 1851. He is down as being from Russia. His wife is French. His father is Pierre Wraskoff which says to me he's more likely to be French but Pierre's father is Alexandre and more likely to be Russian.

Having a search around I have found numerous Rascov's so I am thinking this may be the original spelling of the name. Pierre is likely to be born around 1800, so I would like to know if the Ruscov's were moving out of Russia for a particular reason - i.e. they were Jewish perhaps.

the variations in spelling i believe is due to interpretations of how the name is spelt.
