What part of Florida are your COUEY's from> Mine ended up in Florida
also and around the middle 1800's the name changed to COOEY as we
spell it today. In looking at MANY census on my "known" ancestors, the
name was spelled a variety of ways which included:
COOLLY, COOLEY, COWEE,COIE etc. etc etc and the list goes on.

I am interested in knowing if there is a connection with our Florida
