do not know for sure if John Coney m. Betsy Gay, or John
Coney m. Betsy Gay...apparently you are correct in that it
was John Couey...there were both families in Laurens Co.,Ga.
at this time.. I even got the pension application (war 1812) and does not show Couey, but Coney it looks to me.
