Looking for "colored" Coneys too. Lots of 'em in Laurens County Ga and Pulaski County GA (1870-) and the neighboring areas. My great-grandfather was a John Coney. One of his wives (Allice or Ethel)was my great-grandmother. I find them in Mitchell and Decatur counties in South Georgia 1910-1930; but I haven't nailed down his birth county or her maiden name. And Coney is a very, very old name; much more common in England.
