St. Catharines ONT obit

Hello! I'm so happy to have found this list! Is there someone who might be able to look up obits in St. Catharines? I'm not certain how many we are allowed to list (and have a family full!) but the following people would be most important at this time:
Caroline LONG DEAN d. 12 Oct 1907 in St. Catharines
James DEAN d. 22 Dec 1912 in St. Catharines
William Thomas DEAN d. 28 Mar 1943 in St. Catharines
Margaret DEVLIN d.14 Mar 1903 in St. Catharines

If we are allowed to ask for one obit, then I apologize. Caroline would be my first choice.

Thank you so very much for any help you might be able to offer!
jamie in california

I have a relative, Fred Carter, who died May 4, 1922 in Seneca, because of injuries he incurred during a cyclone, which, according to his obituary in his home town paper, took place April 19, 1922. I am interested in reading what was written in the newspapers at the time and if there was an obituary about his death in Seneca or Hamilton, as well.

Thanks,
Peggy

Married by the Baptist minister, Rev. Simpsom. From the Nova Scotia Historical Vital Stats(Do not know if this is the Eva Demers that had lost her husband David Anderson)
Fact: Nina Anderson and bother David S Anderson is living with their grandmother, Susannah Anderson, in Aylesford (Dempsey Corner) according to the 1901 Canada Census.(Do not know where their mother Eva was since she is not listed)
Fact: Eva Anderson, Nina and David S came to Boston in 1902. She emigrated to Canada and married a Victor Stratton? Last nown to be living in Rexdale, Ontario in the 1970's but have not had any contact with her since her father Thomas Mathieson died in 1977 when she went home to Ireland for his funeral. This is the last known time for her to be alive.
If there is anyone who could point me in the direction of how to find out if she is still living or if she has any living family, then I would be most grateful for any information however small, as I live in the UK and do not know how to search for her in Canada.
Thanks In Advanced

Debby

I'm looking for an obituary for George and Clara D'Allaird. George died in 1924 and Clara died about 1958, both in Montreal. George was the original owner of the DAllaird Ladies Apparel shops throughout Canada. I am a niece, the only living relative of Geo. and Clara. (2nd generation) They had no children. They immigrated to Canada in 1900 and lived on Sherbrooke Ave. I believe in Outremont. I want to find out what Cemetary they are buried in and any information available.

Dragutin Petrovich of Thunder Bay

My Grandmother had few relatives and most of those still in Croatia. However, we did several times drive from Wisconsin to visit her cousin Charles or Dragutin Petrovich in Port Arthur, now part of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The families have lost touch since that generation began dieing off but I was told Dragutin died at age 99 or 100 in 1999 or 2000. That gives a birth date of about 1900. I'd be delighted if someone on this list can turn up his obituary, probably published in the Thunder Bay paper. If any other information is available, I'd welcome it.

Thanks for your help,
Ashley

Port Stanley newspaper

I'm wondering what year there might have been a newspaper for the Port Stanley, Elgin County area. My mother's grandfather, Ewen Cameron, wife Ellen died in Port Stanley 1888 and 1881, and are buried in the Brayne Cemetery in that village. I believe they were of the Presbyterian faith. Mother's other grandfather, David Comrie, also of Port Stanley, died May 1894. His burial spot, I cannot find. One of his sons is buried in the Sparta Cemetery. David Sr's wife, Isabella remarried, she perished in a home fire. Are there any newspapers during those time periods I could search or would I need to look toward St. Thomas? Thank you.

Albert Thomas Excell

My uncle Albert arrived in St John on SS Sicilian on 29 March 1914 aged 9yrs. I have recently received a report on him from Barnardo's and this shows him in Regina, Sask in 1932 with a note saying 'is getting married in two months'.
I have been told by a relative that he never had any children and he died in an accident when working for the Ford Motor Company in late 1932 or 1933. I assume there would have been a report in the newspaper of this accident but don't know where he was living when it happened. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a newspaper article or anything about surrounding a story about a train derailment. My grandparents were on that train, grandfather Richer and grandmother McKay (don't know their names). They had an infant son (Albert Richer) who was left in the care of Mary McKay when his parents left on the voyage. I would like a list of people killed on this train and where and when it happened. I happened sometime after 1914.
also
I am interested in any stories on a church burning in Limoges, Ontario, Russull County (aka South Indian) sometime after 1914 and how this fire was started. All the church records were also burnt in this fire.
Thank you.
