How soon afterwards were you adopted? If it was less than one year, they might not have made an announcement....
Otherwise, the only places that have the Miami Herald from 1945 are the University of Florida and the MAYBE the State Historical Society of Wisconsin.
There's also a book that seems perfect: "Dade County, Florida Birth index in eleven volumes : names extracted from Dade County newspapers" which is available at the
Allen County Public Library Ft Wayne, IN 46801
and
Miami-Dade Public Library System Miami, FL 33130
You could contact/email all these places and see if they have any lookup procedures.
