Henry Cress family homesteaded Westcliffe, Custer, CO. Henry left on honey run in summer 1898 and disappeared. Skeleton found Salida 1900 - probably after snow melt, with bullet hole in skull. Family story is son George shot him. George I.D. the skeleton, and likely was buried in Ula Cem. in Westcliffe. Could someone check old newspaper index for info on Henry gone missing or being found? or advise me how to do so from Washington state? Sheryl
