Felix Girod, Jr., of Pflugerville, TX passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006, after a battle with cancer. He was born September 6, 1932, in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force and began working in real estate sales and management. Felix was a fun-loving person that never met a stranger. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and other charitable organizations. He enjoyed sharing stories and meeting new people. Those that met him rarely forgot him. He will be sorely missed by many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Avis Girod; his father, Felix Girod, Sr.; and his son, Ronald Girod. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Girod; daughter, Deborah Joseph and her husband Elmer; daughter, Kathryn Girod; son, Michael Girod and wife, Cristy; and grandchildren, Jace, Brandon, and Hailey Girod. Pallbearers are Donald Beck, Darrel Derrickson, Jim Derrickson, Gordon "Corky" Goff, Bert Lundell, and Scott Mount. Honorary pallbearers are Clayton Cheever, Gary DeVito, Odeen Hibbs, Charlie Lambert, Rick Szukalla, Tom West and Joe Donaldson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2006, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
