Leverett, Kenneth W. "Scooter"
Kenneth W. "Scooter" Leverett, a retired mill machinist, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at a Fort Worth TX hospital.
Funeral: 9 a.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home. Committal service: noon in Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville TX.

Mr. Leverett, an area resident for over 50 years, was born in Gainesville TX and served two enlistments in the United States Navy during the Korean War including service on the USS Titania and USS Kankakee.
Known as "Doc" by his co-workers, Kenneth was a mill machinist for Convair, General Dynamics and Lockheed for almost 44 years when he retired as a supervisor in 1993.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and poker with family and friends. His life was devoted to his family and he will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Effie Leverett; and a brother, Billy G. Leverett.
Survivors: Children, Teri L. Roberts of Collinsville, Cherie D. Bell of Azle and Kim E. Leverett of North Richland Hills; siblings, Wallace R. Leverett of Pauls Valley, Okla., Rosemary Leverett Hardy of Keller, Wilma Jean DeJeu of Toledo, Ohio, and Troy D. Leverett of Tolar; grandchildren, Serita J. Dawson of Azle, Cassidy Leverett Jewell of Lakeside, Noah A. Dawson of Oceanside, Calif., and Colton S. Hinds of North Richland Hills.
