LOIS ANN MERRILL, age 54 of Manitou Beach, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at her home. She was born on November 9, 1951 in Willard, Ohio to Max E. and Ann T. (Van Poppel) Miller. She married Mark D. Merrill on August 5, 1972 in Holgate, Ohio, and he survives.

Lois lived in Holgate and Van Wert, Ohio, she then lived in the Manitou Beach area since 1988. She graduated from Holgate High School in 1969, she then graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1973. Lois was a dedicated teacher at Addison Elementary School for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church Of The Lakes of Addison, and an avid tennis player.

Surviving besides her husband Mark are two daughters, Angela Merrill of San Diego, California, Kristina (Nathan) Auclair of Boston, Massachusetts, her mother, Ann Miller of Maumee, Ohio, her father and mother in law, Ben (Marianne) Atherton of Delta, Ohio, two brothers, Max (Louann) Miller of Lansing, Michigan, Roger (Debbie) Miller of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, one brother in law, Gregg (Renee) Merrill of Napoleon, Ohio, one sister in law, Julie (John) Nowacki of Toledo, Ohio, many nephews, nieces and other loving family members.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the Lutheran Church Of The Lakes, Addison, Michigan, with Pastor David Gadbaw officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, at www.carcinoid.org, the Lutheran Church Of The Lakes, or the Addison Elementary School.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Addison, Michigan.
