TRALLER, SUE PETERSON (POPE) Dallas native. June 18, 1927 - September 23, 2006. Granddaughter of Pioneer family, that settled in Dallas in 1875. James A. Skillern and Mamie Edwards Skillern, founders of Skillern Drug Store Chain. In 1965 Skillern Drug Chain, family owned, sold to Zale Corp., and in the early 1980's became Eckerd Drug. Daughter of Lida Skillern Peterson and Charles B. Peterson. She graduated Sunset High School, 1944. Attended Texas Tech University, member of Social Club Sans Souci which became Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Married high school sweetheart, Jimmie E. Pope on June 23, 1946. He predeceased her at age 34 on October 10, 1960. Survived by four children, John Charles Pope, Barbara Pope Harless, Suzanne Traller Souza and Patricia Traller LaGrange; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Helen Peterson; nieces, Susie Peterson Kimbrough, Ann Peterson Griffin and families. She was predeceased by brother, C.B. Peterson Jr. Sue volunteered from 1987 until 2002 with Wilkinson Center, Network Ministries of Richardson and White Rock Center of Hope. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, Northwest Highway Chapel. Private internment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
