Bill Matusoff, born February 16, 1929, passed away at home surrounded by his beloved family on Thursday, March 8, 2007.
Bill was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and a proud bilingual Texan, founder of Princess Beauty Supply, active and generous contributor to numerous service and charitable human rights, health care, ecological, arts, and Jewish heritage and advocacy organizations.
For all who knew him, Bill was a model for “living it up,” and he believed and taught others to trust that “It is never too late to have a happy childhood.”
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sherer; daughters, Sherry Merfish (Gerald) and Cathy Shorkey (Ken); stepsons, Scott Sherer and Jonathan Sherer (Michele); grandchildren, Brett Merfish, Beth Merfish, Adam Schragin, Anna Schragin, and Maximillian Sherer; dozens of beloved cousins and their families; and innumerable friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Babe Matusoff, and stepson, David Sherer.
