Lee Ander Jessie, 80 former resident of this county, died Feb. 24 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Nora England in Edmonton, Ky., after a long illness. He was a member of the United Brethren Church at Red Lick at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the Butler Funeral Home Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m., slow time, with Rev. E. L. Dixon and Rev. Carl Elmore officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery. Pallbearers were Doodle Lile, Walter Jeannette, Delbert Warren, Gary England, Randy, England and Bobby England. Survivors besides Mrs. England are four other daughters: Mrs. Bertha Mercer, Mrs. Pearl Allen, Mrs. Pauline Russell all of Louisville, and Mrs. Janie Edwards of Greensburg; two sons: Leon Jessie of Edmonton and Earl Jessie of Greensburg; two half-brothers: Willie England, Edmonton and McKinley England of Glasgow; 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
